Building great-looking, indexed content since 2004

Initially focussed on the construction industry, hence the name, Diskbuilder was developed and refined on over 90 bid submissions in this sector. Construction clients include Laing O'Rourke, Bam, Carillion, Bilfinger Berger, McAlpine.

In 2008, we expanded the scope of the software and now also service clients in a range of sectors from legal (Squire Sanders, Addleshaw Goddard et al) to waste (SITA, Wheelabrator Technologies) to business services (Steria, MITIE).

In 2011, Julian Weaver, Diskbuilder's original developer, took over full management of the product and his company, Finetuned Limited, purchased it from Blue Edge in 2012.

The early process of requirements-led development led to an approach that prioritises the refining of core functionality over the continual addition of features.

We continue to look at how Diskbuilder fits into the overpopulated field of software and hardware solutions and try to avoid duplicating functionality that our clients have already invested in or that other companies do really well.

We think that we're different in this respect and it forms the basis of our business philosophy: Don't sell things to customers that they don't really need.

Our approach

  • Keep the core application focussed on a set of essential features and work on making those better.
  • Enhance the functionality of the core application by providing optional modules.
  • Offer customisation services to suit clients' business needs or project requirements.
  • Ensure Diskbuilder's workflow is optimised by soliciting regular feedback from our users
  • Keep it lean, flexible, cost-effective and future-proof.

We think our clients agree, we hope you will too.
